Red Blood Cells

I learned online today that a red blood cell has the ability to make a complete circuit of the human body in twenty seconds. 

When you decide to go, it will not be a fast break and I will always wonder if somewhere, in some other space in time, we became all new circuits. 

Our new minds would not fall prey  to the brokenness within us. 

We would not sleep with our backs facing each other. 

We would be able to keep every promise that we made. 

And we would mean it every time we showed our love. 

But although neither of us are red blood cells, and neither of us flow as quickly and cleanly as red blood cells, our circuits will be forever entertained like the beautiful disaster of water that currents make.
